Fire and Ice

deep in the bowels
of the earth
in the furnace
of desire,
ardour
silently and ceaselessly
burns
providing
(core) heat to everything
around.

it is only away from the warm centre
in the cool, thin air
that ice and glaciers form.

at times
unusual conditions
bring the heat of the interior
to the cool surface ice;
passionate, glowing-red magma
encounters glacial ice.

spectacular energy and
raging torrents are released
that scour deep ravines and gorges
into the body of the earth
before flooding lowland plains
which in turn
burst with all manner of
plant and animal life.

what appear to be conflicting
energies produce rapid change
and alter the contours
of the earth;
it is only shallow types that fear
these events
these natural dynamic changes.

whenever the cold
or isolation
becomes unbearable
approach my deep
interior
where undying
passion
provides constant heat
and comfort for your
troubled, refractory soul.

My Sharona lyrics
by The Knack via stan Wednesday, Aug 11 2010, 10:01pm

Oh my little pretty one, pretty one
When you gonna give me some time, Sharona
When you make my motor run my motor run
Gun it coming off the line, Sharona

Never gonna stop, give it up
Such a dirty mind, always get it up
For the touch of the younger kind
My my my i yi woo
My my my my Sharona

Come a little closer huh, ah will ya huh?
Close enough to look in my eyes, Sharona
Keeping it a mystery gets to me
Running down the length of my thighs, Sharona

When you gonna give it to me
Give it to me?
It's just a matter of time, Sharona
Is it just destiny, destiny
Or is it just a game in my mind, Sharona?

Never gonna stop, give it up.
Such a dirty mind, always get it up
For the touch of the younger kind
My my my i yi woo
My my my my Sharona ...
