from the sylphs i learned to be quick
the salamanders taught me how to burn
the dross from my being and purify
the undines’ lesson was how to flow
without resistance while maintaining integrity
the earth taught me patience and nurturing

from the four elements i have been made
lacking nothing i am accomplished
without exertion, without thought
as nature accomplishes everything in perfect harmony,
without a care
