Aphrodite and Eros

the whites of ur thighs
like the gleaming sand
that encircles tropical
undergrowth

surrounded by sea
sacred to Aphrodite,
born of sea foam,
progeny of
(Uranus’) castrated genitals
that birthed the most beautiful
Goddess in the pantheon,
the rarest pearl
though an unfaithful
roving wife
married by the Gods
to a tolerant husband --
the Gods choose well
their matches.

the light moves
from ur island forest
up the mountain
to the inner sanctum
(brain)
to the pinnacle
where it erupts thru
the aperture
of Brahma

everything is drawn in (there)
in an instant
absorbed
transformed to erupt again
as
white Light
from the crown
to the sacred grove
between the whites of
ur thighs
a major circuit
completed
from heaven to earth
to heaven again until
everything shimmers
and is drenched
in Light,
scintillations
that open
the doors to Infinity ...
