there are indicators to everything
all life on earth follows various signs,
smells and celestial phenomena
man has mapped the heavens
and observed the relationship
of the Sun and planets
with terrestrial life
from coral spawning
to bird and whale migrations;
the magnetic field of the earth
also provides a map/roadway
for various forms of life
humanity is only now
beginning to learn
without qualification -- risking making
a short poem an epic,
i have noticed that Imperial America
today teeters on failure,
the aware world is slowly ostracising
the world's leading child killing, terrorist nation
the Palestinians, Afghans, Iraqis, Serbs
all write poetry, compose lyrical verse and music
but the American elite is devoid in this regard;
sure, plutocrats could buy poets, artists and musicians
but the work would reek of contrivance
and commercialism -- you simply cannot buy soul
or the scars of torture or the pain of losing one's family
to a U.S. Drone attack
picking up pieces of human body
that once belonged to loved ones
tattoos the soul and leaves indelible
impressions on the psyche --
but the offender and perpetrator
of these heinous crimes has not experienced
the horrors he inflicts on others
the creative void of a brutal killer
is indicative of failure
whereas the pain and torment of
America's victims ensures
success and final victory
for the vile criminal oppressor
and thief
failure is inevitable --
plain to see
no-one will shed a tear
for America
are you now able to decipher the signs?

researchers have recently discovered that dogs align themselves to the earth's North-South axis to shit (see link) -- interesting, and that only scratches the surface!
the next time i'm lost in the bush i'll check the orientation of my shitting dog. of course dog knows way home but defers to human masters who may be lost.
