Flickerless Flame

wax is required
free of all impurities
and a sitting place
free of all drafts
and atmospheric
disturbances

light the candle
and watch the flame reach
its height

watch until
the flame appears motionless
though its activity like all fire
is energetic

watch until ur mind and
the flame become one
fixed in active stillness

achieve quiescence in activity
light is not indolent
or slothful
remain firm
until the flow of
pure consciousness
feeds the light
in ur eye

watch
until the light of the mind
and flame become
indistinguishable

reality opens like a flower
and unfolds
revealing the continuous
flow of existence

another victor
welcomed
