i still haven't found what i'm looking for

                 Running

i have climbed the highest mountain
i have run through fields
only to be with you
to be with you

i have run
i have crawled
i have scaled these city walls
these city walls
to be with you

i have kissed honey lips
felt healing fingertips
burning like fire
burning desire
to be with you

i have spoken with the tongue of angels
i have held the hand of a devil
warm in the night
but i was cold as a stone

i haven’t found what i'm looking for

i believe in the kingdom to come
all colours will bleed into one
bleed into ONE

(i'm still running)

you broke the bonds
you loosed the chains
carried the cross
of my shame
you know i believed it
i believe

but i still haven't found what i'm looking for
