Contemplation
by jude via jaxie - Jungle Drum Newswire Friday, Apr 17 2015, 12:50am
international / poetry / post

during times of quiet introspection
i sometimes ponder the gross injustices
that beset the world today,
they are enormous and many
enough to overwhelm an individual

however, quiet reflection always provides
solutions – trust it implicitly

out of the quiet reverie issues numerous
answers, solutions and actions available to me,
a single individual with limited ability

after reviving my spirit
i simply get to work and oppose those
that have transformed paradise into hell;
they are only a few, and i realise how easily
they are defeated by unwavering adherence
to the moral values and laws of civilised society,
criminals are terrified of the law as laws
have been developed by righteous men
over centuries

the failure today is not the system
that has been hijacked by a few criminals,
it simply is the failure to utilise what our forefathers
have developed to ensure our welfare

it is a simple matter to prosecute known criminals
for their crimes and realise that laws were made for
preventing evil from overtaking good

enforcing the law is not a matter for police
when police are controlled by criminal elites,
it is a matter for an active, conscientious citizenry
that refuse to be intimidated or terrorised by a few
criminals and the political cowards that support them

need i inform or remind people of their inalienable
rights and prerogatives?
