Day Confines Night Releases
by wisp via shirl - Jungle Drum Newswire Friday, Sep 4 2015, 3:27am
international / poetry / post

as the sun dips, light
is overcome by night though it
is believed that light overcomes the dark

night eases, daylight shrieks
my preference is easy --
under the softness
all manner of subtle activities
take place
humans sleep
resting from the incessant chatter
of day
no-one is listening or
speaking

in the quiet
the universe spreads its sensual darkness
punctuated only
with flickering drops of silver,
nothing disturbs the poets
etching dreams on the night sky
or flying among the stars
